How to Add Product Variants
Explains how to set up product variants so customers can select different attributes, such as model or material, from a single item page.
Before You Begin
- Ensure the parent product is already created in your product catalog.
- Identify the variation types and options you plan to offer.
Step-by-Step Instructions
Step 1: Open the Product for Editing
From the Admin Panel, click Products in the sidebar menu and select the product you want to modify.
Step 2: Locate the Product Attributes
Scroll down to the Product Attributes section on the product editing form.

Step 3: Specify Option Attribute and Values
Enter the variation option name and input the available choices for shoppers to select.

Step 4: Set Pricing and Inventory per Variant
Configure the individual selling price, compare-at price, and available stock count for each generated option.
Step 5: Save Product Updates
Click Save Product at the top of the page to apply your variant configurations to the live storefront.

- A dropdown or selector menu on the live product page allowing customers to choose between available item options.
