How to Search for a Customer

Explains how to locate specific customer records rapidly using search queries and directory filters.

Before You Begin

  • Obtain the buyer name, email address, phone number, or associated order number.
  • Access the Customers module in the Admin Panel.

Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1: Open Customers View

In your Admin Panel sidebar, expand Commerce and click Sales.

Step 2: Select Customers

Click Customers (URL: /admin/customers) to open the merchant customer directory.

Step 3: Search or Filter Customers

Use the Search customers… input box to search buyers by name, email, or role.

Step 4: Inspect Customer Profiles

Review columns: Customer Name, Email, Role, City, Pincode, and Phone Number.

Step 5: View Customer History

Click the View (eye) icon or customer row to open their profile showing past orders, total spend, and delivery addresses.

Problem: Search Yields No Results for a Known Buyer

Solution: Check for typos in the email or phone number, or search by order number in the Orders section.
