How to Add Product Sizes and Colors

Guides merchants through adding size choices (such as Small, Medium, Large, or numeric shoe sizes) and color variations to product listings.

Before You Begin

  • Confirm the standard sizing naming conventions for your brand merchandise.
  • Have stock inventory counts ready for each individual size.
  • Prepare product photos representing each color variation.
  • Determine the color names you will display to shoppers.

Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1: Navigate to Products

In your Admin Panel, select Products and click on the product you want to configure.

Step 2: Create Size and Color Option

In the Attribute section, select or type Size and Color as the option attribute name.

Step 3: Enter Available Size Values and Color Names

Input your size choices (e.g. S, M, L, XL), enter the color choices (e.g. Black, Navy, Olive) and assign corresponding stock counts.

Step 4: Save and Review Product Page

Click Save Product to update the listing across your storefront catalog.

What You Should See

  • Interactive size selector buttons or dropdown list displayed on the customer product details screen.
  • Color selection options displayed clearly on the storefront product page.

Common Problems & Troubleshooting

Common ProblemRecommended Solution
Specific Size Shows as Out of StockCheck the stock inventory count entered for that specific size variant in the product editor.
Customer Receives Wrong ColorEnsure that order confirmation emails and packing slips clearly list the selected color attribute.
