How to Update Shipping Status

Details how store staff can update the delivery status of an order to keep internal teams and customers informed of package movement.

Before You Begin

  • Confirm carrier updates or delivery confirmation receipts.
  • Access the order in your Admin Panel.

Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1: Navigate to Orders

Navigate to Commerce -> Sales -> All Orders in your Admin Panel sidebar and locate the order.

Step 2: Select Fulfillment Status

Click on the fulfillment status control to view available state options such as Unfulfilled, Shipped, or Delivered.

Step 3: Apply the New Status

Choose the updated status corresponding to current carrier progress and save the modification.

Step 4: Verify Order Timeline

Review the order history log to ensure the status change was recorded with the current timestamp.

  • The order record displaying its current fulfillment phase across order list tables and customer view.

Common Problems & Troubleshooting

Problem: Status Accidentally Marked Delivered Ahead of Time

Solution: Revert the status back to Shipped or In Transit and add a note in order history to document the correction.
