How Do I Configure Shipping Before Launch?

Honest flag up front: no dedicated “Shipping” item appears anywhere in the dashboard navigation we’ve confirmed so far (see Understanding Your Shopiators Merchant Dashboard) — it lives inside Store > Settings. This article covers what shipping setup generally needs to accomplish; the exact steps need confirming against your real Settings screen before publishing.

What shipping setup needs to accomplish

  • Define which regions or zones you ship to
  • Set a shipping rate (or rates) per zone — flat rate, weight-based, or free above a threshold
  • Decide whether you offer free shipping, and under what conditions
  • Set expected delivery timeframes to display at checkout

Why this matters before launch

Shipping cost is one of the top reasons customers abandon a cart at checkout. Getting a rate configured — even a simple flat rate — matters more before launch than getting a complex multi-zone setup perfect. You can refine zones and rates after you have real orders coming in.

Start simple

💡 Tip: If you’re unsure what to charge, a single flat shipping rate (or free shipping built into your product pricing) is a reasonable starting point for launch. You can always add more granular zones and rates later once you understand your actual shipping costs.
