How Do I Connect My Domain?

Another honest flag: domain connection isn’t visible in the navigation we’ve confirmed so far, and it’s inside Store > Settings. The general process below reflects how domain connection typically works across e-commerce platforms — the exact screens and field names need confirming against your real dashboard.

Your two options

  • Buy a new domain directly through Shopiators, if that’s supported — typically the simpler path, since it’s configured automatically
  • Connect a domain you already own from another registrar (GoDaddy, Namecheap, etc.) by updating its DNS records to point to Shopiators

What to expect if connecting an existing domain

  1. Locate the domain connection screen in your dashboard and enter your domain name.
  2. Your dashboard should provide DNS records (typically an A record and/or CNAME) to add at your domain registrar.
  3. Log in to wherever you registered your domain and add those records.
  4. Wait for DNS propagation — this can take up to 24–48 hours, though it’s often faster (see How Long Does It Take to Launch My Online Store).

Don’t wait until launch day

💡 Tip: Start this as early as possible in your setup, even before your catalog or design work is finished. DNS propagation runs in the background regardless of what else you’re doing, so there’s no reason to leave it until the end.
