What Should I Check Before Making My Store Public?
Once Article 15 “What Should I Check Before Making My Store Public“‘s readiness review is done, there’s one final, very literal switch to flip: taking your store from private to public. Here’s what to check right before, and how to actually do it.
The last checks, right before you flip the switch
- Your test order (Article 14 “How Do I Place a Test Order“) completed successfully, including payment and order visibility
- Your custom domain, if you’re using one, is resolving correctly (Article 12 “How Do I Connect My Domain“)
- Every live product has a real photo, price, and description — no placeholder or “Lorem ipsum” content left behind
- Your shipping rate is active for the regions you plan to sell to (Article 11 “How Do I Configure Shipping Before Launch“)
Where to make your store public
Store visibility is controlled from Store > Settings > General. This is where you switch your store from private/password-protected to public.

Right after you go public
💡 Tip: Open your store in a private/incognito browser window immediately after switching it public, and browse it the way a first-time customer would. This is the fastest way to catch anything that only shows up when you’re logged out of your own dashboard.
