I Just Joined Shopiators. What Should I Do First?

Just created your Shopiators account? Here’s the exact order of steps we recommend for your first session, so you build a solid foundation before adding products or design work.

Your first-session checklist

  1. Confirm your account email and log in to your Merchant Dashboard.
  2. Enter your business details (legal business name, address, and contact email) under Settings > Business Information.
  3. Set your store’s default currency and time zone under Settings > General — this affects pricing and order timestamps, so get it right early.
  4. Choose a working store name — you can change your public store name later, but pick something you’re comfortable seeing on invoices and test orders for now.
  5. Skim your Merchant Dashboard layout so you know where Products, Orders, Payments, Shipping, and Design live (see Article 5 for a full tour).

What NOT to do yet

  • Don’t connect your final domain yet — get the basics set up on your free Shopiators subdomain first.
  • Don’t invite staff accounts until you understand the roles and permissions you need.
  • Don’t spend hours on design before you have at least one product — it’s easier to design around real content.

Setting expectations

💡 Tip: Most merchants can complete the basic account setup in this article in under 15 minutes. The bigger time investment comes later, in adding products and customizing design — and that’s fine. There’s no deadline; take the time you need.

A simple way to stay organized

As you go through setup, keep a running note (a notes app or a spreadsheet works fine) of decisions you’re making — your business name, currency, shipping regions, and payment provider. You’ll reference these repeatedly over the next few steps, and having them in one place saves you from hunting through settings later.
